Your bathroom sink could be a centerpiece, bringing harmony to all other spaces of your new space!

If you’re reading this, you’ve likely decided to remodel your bathroom, and now you’re in the process of picking fixtures and materials. Will you go for the statement lighting by installing a chandelier? Replace your shower head with something luxurious? With such exciting elements to keep in mind, it is easy to forget your sink. But it does not have to be just an utilitarian bathroom fixture. In fact, your bathroom sink could be a centerpiece, bringing harmony to all other spaces of your new space. Read on to learn more!

Drop-In Sinks

Otherwise known as self-rimming sinks, this type of sink style is popular because of its ease of installment. Featuring a rolled or finished rim that sits on top of your counter, a drop-in sink typically fits right into a vanity’s pre-cut hole, it could also be replaced without ruining your countertop. This is a versatile basin that was inspired by 1920s designs, perfect for a transitional or traditional bathroom update. These sinks also work great with vintage-style or repurposed vanities.

Farmhouse Sinks

These are also known as apron-front sinks. This type of sink style is defined by an exposed, protruding front, and was usually reserved for the kitchen, but has made its way into a few unique bathroom redesigns. If you like being different, this can be the way to go.

Pedestal Sinks

Pedestal sinks are elegant and perfect for small spaces and are created with two parts which is the basin and the freestanding column underneath. While these slim fixtures do not offer much in the way of storage, they do take up little floor space and are simple to clean around. This makes them great for guest bath or powder rooms. If you are looking for a more traditional bathroom remodel, then try a luxurious porcelain sink.

Vanity Sinks

A vanity sink is molded into solid-surface countertops of quartz, marble, wood, or granite, built on top of a case of your cabinetry. This setup is a nice option for those that want to hide clutter and add more storage space.

Vessel Sinks

This type of sink is a basin that usually sits right on top of a granite, marble, or cultured marble countertop. A vessel sink with more recessed installation will be partially sunk into your countertop, with around half still appearing above of it. Vessel winks are popular in contemporary bathrooms, with different colors, styles, and sizes that make them at home in either rustic or traditional homes.
