Glencoe Kitchen Color Trends for 2021
It’s finally a new year and it is an excellent time of the year to consider your Glencoe kitchen renovation dreams. After several years (or even decades), it is likely time for an upgrade, and in the bright year of 2021, one can draw inspiration from today’s trends. Let’s start by considering the newest color trends for your kitchen!
Greens
Green is a color associated by many with nature and growth. It is a rich, elegant color with a wide range of shades to suit any style. Don’t let that comfortable shade of sage green be your limit, though. Pale, neutral greens emphasize sophistication, mint green offers a retro or lighthearted feel, and plenty of others allow you to mix and match shades to your heart’s content.
Blues
As far as blues go, a deep, navy blue is what will give a clean, sharp look to your kitchen. On the other hand, a pale, sky blue can add the subtle color you’re looking for but keep your kitchen light and airy. Can’t decide on one shade? You can also use two or three!
Greys
Greys are the new neutral in today’s kitchen color trends. Like the many shades of white, grey can be warm or cool and have different tints, such as blue, blue-green, yellow, red, purple, etc. A very neutral grey can look bland, but with the right pop of color, the room can be balanced out. Another trend to consider for greys this year is greige, a combination of grey and beige.
Neutrals
Neutrals also include black and white and all the shades in between. For a truly modern kitchen, black cabinets, countertops, walls, and appliances can make a bold statement. This style of kitchen will require lots of natural light, however. White can sometimes feel too sterile for some but remains a classic. One can create a sophisticated black and white kitchen with a pop of color here and there, or add wood or metallic accents for a more industrial look.
Pastels
If you have your heart set on using color but don’t want to go too deep, bold, or rich, pastels could be for you. A combination of light colors or a range of shades could give your kitchen a vintage or whimsical feel. To help you get the best version of your dream kitchen on paper, contact Kenwood Kitchens!
